# How to add a project by importing data from Excel?

There are two ways to add a project to the Radar workspace. One is by filling in fields for each project individually, the other is by importing data directly from a supported source (Jira or Exel).

**How to import from Exel?**

1. Open the project list

2. Click the second button in a row

3. Select import from Excel

4. Browse your computer for the Exel file containing projects. Specify which worksheet to import and where required data begins and ends. Click **Next**.

5. Choose worksheet columns to map with project fields. Save the specified parameters as a reusable template (optional). Click **Next**.

6. Review and adjust mapping. Choose to create new projects, update existing or both. Add projects to a selected view (optional). Click **Import**.
